The restored versions of each game retain the license terms of their original sources wherever those are known:
- BSD Rogue 3.x, 4.x, 5.x — BSD license (per the original CSRG / SourceForge release).
- Super-Rogue — original Bell Labs source with Robert D. Kindelberger's release.
- UltraRogue — Herb Chong's grant of permission to redistribute and modify.
- XRogue — Robert Pietkivitch's grant of permission.
Each repository under github.com/rogueforge
includes its specific LICENSE file. Where the original license terms are
ambiguous or unavailable, the restoration work itself (build glue,
modern-system shims, save/restore code) is provided under a permissive
license noted in the relevant repository.
